Greg Cate
General Manager - Corporate Affairs (part-time)

Greg joined Market Pulse in 2004 having completed 5 years financial and commercial experience in London. He remains a Chartered Accountant of NZ having qualified in 1998. In London, he worked with “blue-chip” corporate organizations such as the Financial Times and WPP. Specializing in the media industry, Greg’s experience included advertising, media buying, children's television and publishing where he worked closely with Directors and Owners. Greg leads the business affairs of the Group from our Auckland offices with a portfolio including continued business growth and solid commercial practice.

Gerhard Thiry
Operations Director

Before joining the Market Pulse in 2005, Gerhard was Global Operations Manager with Gapbuster Worldwide. Here he worked extensively with McDonalds between 2001 and 2004. He was responsible for expanding GAPbuster's operations into over 25 new countries, incl. USA, Japan, Taiwan, Korea, Malaysia, Singapore, Hong Kong, and into 12 new languages. During 2005 and 2006 Gerhard was the Project Lead on the re-engineering and on-line migration project that established www.payme4shopping.com in our business.
In 2007, Gerhard took a secondment to China where he and his business partners successfully set-up a mystery shopping operation using Gerhard’s extensive experience with the Asian marketplace and cultures. Gerhard still holds a shareholding interest in this business but returned to Market Pulse in January 2009 to be closer to his home and family. Since returning, Gerhard has been instrumental in delivery of the Caltex Australia program and remains a key member in our improvement project committee.

Richard Drew
Head of IT

Originating from the UK Richard settled in NZ with his fiancée joining our team as Solutions Architect in early 2010. Richard has overall responsibility for leading our experienced team of in-house developers and determining the right solutions for internal and external stakeholders. He manages all technical aspects of our internal Software projects, whilst maintaining consistent development processes and professional best practice. Since obtaining both a Higher National Diploma (HND) in Software Engineering and a Bachelor of Science (BSc) in Computer Studies, he has been employed in various Management and Software Development roles over the last 15 years. He has particular experience in Agile project management, Solution Design and improving the way teams utilise the Software Development Lifecycle within large scale service environments. Richard has a passion for problem solving and possesses a finely tuned eye for detail. Before joining us he was most recently employed as a Technical/Operational manager for a successful UK insurance group where he was responsible for the rejuvenation, resilience and contingency planning for several of the groups key systems and services.

Andy Gregory
Operations Manager Australasia

Andy graduated from Bournemouth University in the UK in 2005 with a BA (Hons) in Leisure Marketing. He has worked for an events company organizing classical music concerts in stately homes around the UK and was an assistant editor for a local magazine before traveling around the world for 6 months in May 2005. Andy has been with Market Pulse since early 2006 managing the Australasian Operations team from our Auckland offices.  He has a passion for managing resourcing projects to ensure our shoppers and customers have a great Market Pulse experience.

Caroline Hart
Finance Manager

Just after obtaining her degree in Bachelor of Science in Commerce, major in Accounting from the Philippines in 1984, Caroline came to New Zealand. She has gained twenty-four years experience of NZ accounting from working with local and global companies (Retail, Service and Manufacturing) as Financial and Company Accountant.

As Finance Manager, Caroline has overall responsibility for the delivery of the group monthly financial reports and leading the accounting teams both in NZ and overseas to ensure group policies are followed consistently.

When not working, Caroline loves to go shopping, answer Sudoku/ crossword puzzles and enjoys dining out with family.
